Milk thistle seeds come from the plant of the same name that grows naturally in most of Europe. Along with other types of thistle, milk thistle forms part of the natural diet of goldfinches and is one of their favorite seeds. In addition to being part of their diet, the properties of milk thistle make it especially recommended for both the goldfinch and canaries and other wild birds that feed similarly.

Milk thistle seeds are very rich in flavonoids, which are natural pigments that protect plants but have beneficial properties for animals and, in this case, for birds.

Milk thistle properties:

Antioxidant action that protects cells from damage caused by free radicals that tend to oxidize cell structures.
    anticancer properties.
They promote blood circulation and heart function.
    Lower cholesterol levels
They protect the liver, stomach and gallbladder from toxins.
Source of fatty acids that are an important source of energy.

In canaries and goldfinches, the use of milk thistle stimulates the appetite, helps restore and maintain intestinal balance, and is a natural protector of the liver when dyes are administered to accentuate the red tones of the plumage.

The 1kg format is a repackaged presentation of the original product as the manufacturer does not have this format available.
